Having experienced a Galloping Gourmet planned wedding before, Yasmine and Rich knew a Galloping Gourmet venue was a must for their own wedding day. Curradine Barns, of course, met the couple’s requirement and also provided the informal and relaxed setting they wanted from their wedding day. They also loved the natural and simple style of the venue – a perfect blank canvas for the two to personalise in their own way.

The theme and styling
With its blank canvas appeal, Yasmine and Rich were able to do pretty much anything in terms of wedding styling. The pair decided on an Arabian Art Deco-themed affair in colours of burgundy, navy, turquoise and gold. Statement décor included gold sequined table runners and Moroccan lanterns filled with flowers. They also added a few DIY touches of their own, including white feathers, dipped in gold glitter, personalised photo coaster favours, handmade light-up letters and a world traveller-inspired table plan.
Yasmine dressed to impress in a glamorous full ball gown with a corseted top and sweetheart neckline. For that Arabian touch, she added an embellished crystal belt and coloured gem embellished shoes from ASOS. Her wow-factor look was completed by her four bridesmaids, dressed in jewel tones of navy blue and turquoise, while her groom dressed in black and accessorised with a bow tie and pocket square in burgundy.
Big day celebrations at Curradine Barns
Yasmine and Richard enjoyed a whole day of celebrations at Curradine Barns. They not only had their ceremony and wedding reception at the venue, they also stayed the night in Galloping Gourmet’s Honeymoon Suite.
The couple’s majestic ceremony took place in Curradine’s Granary Barn and was followed by a celebratory raspberry Bellini outside in the sunshine. The drinks reception, which was part of Galloping Gourmet’s Premier Package, also featured mocktails, beers and canapés, including truffle oil and fine chive tartlets, grilled sirloin beef and mini fish and chips.
The wedding breakfast was just as impressive with traditional and vegetarian options to delight everyone. The couple opted for a starter of seared scallops, a lamb main and a trio of desserts, including crème brûlée, baked treacle sponge and chocolate torte. The vegetarian menu included individual filo tarts, a veggie risotto and the same puddings. A cheese board followed and delicious Turkish mezze served come evening.
The couple’s evening celebrations revolved around great entertainment. A live band provided the music (as did Richard sporadically throughout the night) and homemade photo booth ensured laugh-out-loud fun. In fact, the pair made their photo booth themselves, designing their own backdrop inspired by an Arabian scene.
There were so many unforgettable moments – the ones Yasmine remembers the most were all those comedy errors.
“During the ceremony, my eight-month-old nephew decided to get vocal. When the registrar asked if there was any reason why we should not be wed, he decided to laugh. My dad also decided to do his best to embarrass me during his Father of the Bride speech. He showed all our guests a blown up picture of my face, which my brother-in-law had laminated. The photo was of me with puffy eyes and a red face. I’d just had an allergic reaction, so it wasn’t the most flattering picture to share on one of the biggest days of my life!”
