Beth and Joe’s Autumn Wedding at Curradine Barn

That Venue Vibe

Planning a November wedding, Beth and Joe were looking for the perfect wedding venue in Worcestershire and fell in love with Curradine Barns. They had their hearts set on a relaxed, rustic, intimate setting and Curradine was the place.

“We loved that we would be able to decorate the venue to feel just like us.” – Beth

Setting the Style

The happy couple chose a rustic, country style and decided to create much of the décor themselves. Joe chopped wood for centrepieces and Beth and her mother decorated over 200 jars with hessian and lace. Seasonal flowers and foliage were gathered from both parents gardens and beautifully arranged as table centrepieces. Other fabulous creations included a seating plan, sweet table and ‘J & B’ letters made from pallets.

Having always dreamed of an autumn or winter wedding, Beth chose beautiful seasonal shades of burgundy, burnt orange, reds and greens with hessian, ivory lace and burgundy ribbon.

“We wanted it to feel intimate, cosy and relaxed.” – Beth

The Dress

Having always loved her mothers wedding dress, Beth wanted to find a gown with long lace sleeves, just like hers. She found ‘the one’ – a stunning Essence of Australia gown – at Georgina Scott Bridal in Lye.

“I knew I’d found THE dress when not only were my nan and mum crying, I had also broken my sister!” – Beth

The beautiful bride accessorised with a necklace that had been worn by both her mother and grandmother on their wedding days.

The Outfits

Joe looked the part in a dark navy suit with tweed waistcoat. Meanwhile, Beth’s four adult bridesmaids were beautiful in full-length burgundy gowns with ivory lace panels and the flower girl looked adorable in an ivory lace dress with burgundy sash.

“I bought them all matching pearl earrings and my little bridesmaid a pearl necklace.” – Beth

Fabulous Flowers

Seasonal blooms adorned the day, including burgundy tulips, pussy willow, ivory roses, deep red roses and berries. Beth’s stunning bouquet had that ‘just picked’ look, bringing the outside in to the barns.

Big Day Celebrations

Beth and Joe chose a religious ceremony, marrying in the church where Beth’s parents were married, her sister was christened and her grandparents are buried. Afterwards, they served mulled wine in the main barn while guests gathered around the open fire and enjoyed delicious canapés.

Moving in to dine, a Scotch egg starter was followed by pork loin and a trio of desserts.

“We chose brownie, crème brulee and seasonal poached pear. All the food was incredible!” – Beth

Party Time

As day turned to evening, the newlyweds danced their first dance to ‘Shut Up and Dance’ by Walk The Moon, pizza was served and the party started.

“We also had sparklers for everyone as it was bonfire night.” – Beth

Memorable Moments

“There are so many special moments! The whole day was perfect and we were both lucky enough to marry our best friends. I had a special moment with my dad before we left for the church and it was also lovely doing the photographs.”
