Lisa and Guy’s Garden Party Themed Wedding At Curradine Barns

A relaxed, summer garden party was the order of the day at Lisa and Guy’s beautiful August wedding.

The Venue Vibe

Lisa fell in love with Curradine Barns as soon as she found it online.

“When we went to see it, we booked it there and then. It felt relaxed but was also so beautiful. The chocolate brownie they gave us sealed the deal!”

Theme of the Day

A country theme was chosen to suit the style and setting of Curradine Barns, alongside a yellow colour scheme.

“I wanted sunflowers because they always look so happy. Combined with daisies, they completed the country look.”

Many of the decorations were made themselves with Lisa’s dad cutting the log centerpieces and the couple making blackboards, the table plan and even their own confetti.

“The barns are so beautiful, they really didn’t need much decoration. We had just a few flowers, using an arrangement from the top table for the table in the ceremony space.”

All About the Outfits

Lisa wore a gown by Essense of Australia from Georgina Scott Bridal.

“I loved it the moment I tried it on. The neckline detail made it stand out from everything else I’d seen.”

The beautiful bride accessorised with earrings and a bracelet from Jersey Pearl.

Guy dressed to impress in a tweed jacket and waistcoat along with brown chinos.

To carry the yellow theme through from the flowers, Lisa’s two adult bridesmaids wore lemon yellow multi-way dresses from Etsy while the flower girl wore a dress from Monsoon.

The Wedding Breakfast

Following their ceremony in the breathtaking Granary Barn and welcome drinks, the wedding breakfast was served in the Barley Barn. Lisa is vegetarian and was delighted by the menu options provided by the on-site caterers. The trio of desserts also went down rather well!

“We love puddings and couldn’t choose just one, hence the trio!” – Lisa

Triple chocolate brownies, treacle tart with pistachio ice cream and lemon tart were certainly a treat for the tastebuds.

Name that Tune

Lisa and Guy’s civil ceremony and daytime celebrations were accompanied by relaxing acoustic guitar. When the sun set, a DJ filled the dancefloor, starting with ‘Love Me Like You Do’ by Ellie Goulding for the choreographed first dance. Lisa also did a choreographed dance with her dad to ‘Last Night’ by Chris Anderson and DJ Robbie.

Lisa’s Top Tip

“Just enjoy the planning. Don’t leave things until the last minute and make sure you give yourself enough time to enjoy the buildup.” – Lisa
