Livvy and Matthew’s Wonderful Winter Wedding

Livvy and Matthew were searching for the perfect barn wedding venue in Worcestershire and found exactly what they had dreamed of with Curradine Barns.

“I knew as soon as I visited Curradine Barns that this was the place I wanted to get married. I loved the rustic feel but also that they paid such close attention to even the smallest details. The fact that we could get married in the same place as the reception was a real bonus too.” – Livvy

The theme and styling

To enhance the rustic beauty of the country wedding venue, Livvy and Matthew opted for subtle decorations and a wonderful muted colour scheme which matched their winter wedding perfectly. With the help of their friends and family, they dressed the setting with delicate winter flowers, enchanting candles and accents of lace and hessian for a true, country winter wedding style. They also decided on a delightful palette of colours, with plenty of pale pinks and purples creating a soft and warming atmosphere.

The dress

Livvy looked absolutely stunning in her winter wedding dress, which was designed for her by Claire Mischevani. She wore a strapless dress with a tulle skirt in beautiful pale grey, and finished it off with an intricate lace top and sparkling belt to create a truly unique look.

Livvy had five bridesmaids for her special day who wore a range of wonderful colours that complemented each other and the couple’s colour scheme perfectly. With delicate pink, rich purple and soft grey, they made up a delightful winter colour palette.

Big day celebrations at Curradine Barns

The happy couple spent an unforgettable day and night celebrating at Curradine Barns with all their friends and family. They tied the knot in the breathtaking Granary Barn underneath the rustic wrought iron chandelier, before taking to the courtyard for some beautiful, if slightly chilly, photos. The Barley Barn provided the ideal setting for the wedding breakfast, and the couple shared a mouth-watering feast with their guests. The roast lamb main course and chocolate bread and butter pudding were the real stars of the show in this delicious winter menu.

Two of the must-haves for the happy couple were a live band to entertain everybody in the evening and a towering naked cake to continue the wedding’s rustic feel, and they both went down a treat with their guests!

Memorable moments

In fact, everyone was enjoying themselves that some even got a little carried away. “In the evening all the men lifted my Dad over their heads during one of the songs. Unfortunately, he had broken his ribs during the go-karting on the stag do the previous week. It was rather painful!” – Livvy
