Your wedding day timeline.

9 AM – YOUR DRESSING ROOM AWAITS

Everything you have dreamed of is finally here. It’s time to spend your wedding day amidst the natural beauty of Curradine Barns. From 9 am you will be welcome to arrive at our spacious Wedding Preparation Room. Hidden away above the Granary Barn and furnished with sumptuous seating, make up stations and contemporary shower room, you’ll have all you need to get ready for the day ahead. Feeling peckish? We have a selection of grazing boards and drinks you can order to keep your energy levels up as you get ready.

12 NOON – WE’RE EXCLUSIVELY YOURS

Curradine Barns is yours for the day. While you’re upstairs, we’ll be making sure our spaces, both inside and out, are picture perfect and working alongside your chosen suppliers; creating your dream wedding, tweaking the décor in the Barley Barn and getting everything ready. All you have to do is enjoy yourself! If you’ve decided to have a religious ceremony at St Mary’s Church, Curradine Barns is still yours. Perhaps you would like to prepare here first and we’ll look forward to welcoming you back after you’ve said ‘I do’?

12.30 PM – DAY GUESTS BEGIN TO ARRIVE

As you are putting together the final touches in Preparation Room, our events team will greet your guests and direct them to the beautiful Granary Barn or outside in front of the Garden Gazebo. Our licensed bar will be open for guests to purchase refreshments before the ceremony. The bar will close 30 minutes before the start time to give guests time to finish their drinks and take their seats.

12.45 PM – MEET WITH THE REGISTRAR

Just before the ceremony, you will both (separately) meet with the registrar for an informal chat, answering a few questions, in preparation for the next step.

1 PM – SAY ‘I DO’

Your guests have taken their seats and it’s time to enjoy a moment of calm before walking down the aisle of the Granary Barn, with fairy lights adorning the original oak beams. During warmer months, you might decide to make the most of the glorious countryside by marrying beneath our Garden Gazebo. Whichever you choose, you’ll be saying some of the most important words of your life, surrounded by the people you love.

1.30 PM – CELEBRATE WITH WELCOME DRINKS

Let the celebrations begin as you mingle with your family and friends, enjoying cocktails and canapés in our stylish, homely spaces. A perfect venue throughout the year, you might host drinks in the bar with its welcoming wood burner, out in the pretty Courtyard or on the lawn with a few garden games.

2 PM – SMILE FOR THE CAMERA!

This is a great opportunity for your photographer to whisk you away, taking beautiful photographs in our secret garden, amongst the cornfields and with the barns as a backdrop. Of course, you’ll also want to capture images of your guests deep in conversation as well as all the fabulous details, from canapés and flowers to table décor and stationery.

3 PM – IT’S TIME TO BE SEATED

On the day you won’t even need to think about the time. Our Events Team will have everything in hand, inviting your guests to be seated for dinner in the Barley Barn before welcoming you into the room.

3.15 PM – YOUR WEDDING BREAKFAST IS SERVED

Your wedding breakfast awaits in the Barley Barn, with exceptional food and drink at the heart of every wedding at Curradine Barns. Celebrate and savour every moment, making memories with your closest friends and family amidst the rustic style and twinkling fairy lights of the barn.

5.15 PM – SAY A FEW WORDS

Traditionally, this is the time to make your speeches. You might prefer to speak before your wedding breakfast or even later on in the evening. This is your day and we’ll help you to structure it any way you like.

5.45 PM – CUT YOUR WEDDING CAKE

Following your speeches, you might like to cut your wedding cake, perhaps serving it to your guests later in the evening. Meanwhile, your evening entertainment will be setting up in the Granary Barn, preparing for a fabulous party.

6.30 PM – EVENING GUESTS ARRIVE

Any evening guests will arrive and start to join the party at this time, give them the warmest of welcomes with a glass of prosecco on arrival (please speak to our team for more information on food and drink upgrades).

7.30 PM – TAKE TO THE DANCE FLOOR

As everyone comes together in the Granary Barn, you can take to the floor for your first dance as a married couple. It’s another poignant moment in this magical day and certainly one your photographer will want to capture.

8 PM – THE PARTY STARTS

Turn the music up and dance with the ones you love. Our barns and outdoor spaces transform from day to night with romantic lighting and fun features such as our in-house photo booth, the Currabooth.

8.30 PM – EVENING FOOD IS SERVED

As the sun goes down, delight your guests with vibrant street food served from our Curradine Cantina in the Courtyard. It’s the perfect place to mingle on warmer evenings, with lights in the trees above, or you can, of course, enjoy the same delicious food, from wood fired pizza to theatrical food stations, in the warmth of the barns.

11.15 PM – LAST ORDERS

As your bar manager calls last orders, it’s time to enjoy that last cocktail and a final spin around the dance floor.

11.30PM – TIME TO WIND DOWN

No one wants a sudden finish where the music stops and the lights go up! With that in mind, why not turn down the tempo a little at this point, taking time to say thank you and goodnight.

MIDNIGHT – AND SO TO BED

Retire to your luxurious Midsummer Cottage, just a few steps from the Courtyard, unwinding over a glass of fizz and a piece of wedding cake! You might have invited up to 24 of your guests to spend the night in our charming Farmhouse. We politely ask that any guests who aren’t staying overnight at Curradine Barns vacate the venue by midnight. We’ll be delighted to offer details of local accommodation and taxi companies.

8-9 AM – BREAKFAST IS SERVED

Gather together with any overnight guests for a delicious breakfast in the cosy Farmhouse country kitchen, served between 8 am and 9 am, reminiscing about your big day.

10 AM – CHECKOUT

It’s time to say your final goodbyes and begin your new adventure as a married couple. We hope your time with us has been the intimate, romantic celebration you’ve always imagined.
